REGISTER FOR THE 2017 PAEE CONFERENCE
Registration is now open for the 2017 PAEE Conference on March 13th & 14th at the McKeever Environmental Learning Center, and pre-conference Project WET Facilitator Workshop on March 12. We hope that you will join us at the conference and help to keep alive the PAEE conference tradition of building community, deepening connections to nature and sharing innovative teaching practices.
4 REASONS TO BE EXCITED ABOUT MCKEEVER
1. THE WOODED TRAILS AND STREAMS
The McKeever Environmental Learning Center has many trails that wind through the beautiful 205 acre campus. Workshops will be taking advantage of the woodlands, streams and meadows and you'll be free to explore if you need some down time to relax.
2. WE CAN PRACTICE WHAT WE PREACH
McKeever strives to model practices that reduce consumption and maximize use of energy and materials. Our conference will be light on the land by recycling, composting, and tapping into their renewable wind energy, solar water heating system, and geothermal heat pump.
3. IT'S A CHANCE TO RELIVE SUMMER CAMP
We're excited to recreate the feeling of summer camp with people who reserve a bunk bed in the McKeever bunkhouse. This unique experience will provide a fun (and affordable) way to build community while rooming alongside your fellow environmental educators.
4. THE FOOD IS LEGENDARY
Generations of people throughout western Pennsylvania can fondly recount their experiences at McKeever. While the staff and programs play a huge role in creating what they call the McKeever magic, every kid we've talked to makes sure to mention one important thing: THE FOOD.
WOULD YOU OR YOUR ORGANIZATION LIKE TO BE A SPONSOR?
As the organization for environmental education in Pennsylvania, PAEE works hard to host the annual conference at an affordable cost for attendees. We are looking for organizations, businesses and agencies that can help us keep individual registration costs low by donating to PAEE and the 2017 conference. Your dollars ensure that we can give scholarships to students and other low income educators in the state, and help us provide great keynote speakers to inspire attendees and enable us to develop a wide array of workshops on compelling topics.
THANK YOU TO THE 2017 CONFERENCE SPONSORS:
